In the most recent episode of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, I talked with King University head wrestling coach Jason Moorman and two-time WCWA champion Julia Salata about the school’s second straight national championship.
One of the things that stuck out to me in talking with Moorman was when he said “we’re not a men’s program and a women’s program, we’re a wrestling program.”
Think about that for a second.
Here’s a coach who had no experience in coaching women when he took the reigns of the new King program five years ago and now he’s aided his wrestlers in winning back-to-back national championships.
