Historically, wrestling has been looked at from the outside world as a society of people who starve themselves and put themselves through agony just to compete.
Wrestlers know it's more than that. Wrestlers also know proper weight management is based on sound nutrition. They know what to do and what not to do. On Episode 18 of the World Wrestling Resource Podcast, Clint Wattenberg, the Coordinator of Sports Nutrition Nutrition at Cornell University, will join Jason Bryant and Iowa associate head coach Terry Brands in a discussion about where nutrition has evolved and how important it is to wrestlers.
Wattenberg is a California native who also works with the My Sports Dietician group with a wrestling-centric website at MyWrestlingNutrition.com and he's authored Performance Nutrition for Wrestlers, a book aimed at making what works work and what doesn't work go away.
You can follow Wattenberg on Twitter at @SportRd_Clint The World Wrestling Resource has a slew of resources for wrestlers and coaches from all levels and information about the products can be found at www.worldwrestlingresource.com.
