Chattanooga’s Brayden Palmer has been named the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week for all competition from Dec. 28 to Jan. 3. The selection is made by the league office.

In addition to his Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week award. No. 9 redshirt senior Izzak Olejnik of the Northern Illinois University wrestling team earned his inaugural MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Though the Elizabethtown College wrestling team trailed early against McDaniel Wednesday afternoon, the Blue Jays quickly came back to take the lead and stayed in front as they took down the Green Terror, 29-14. Etown won six of the ten weight classes.
