Muhlenberg to Launch Women's Wrestling Program – Muhlenberg College Athletics

Further advancing its commitment to provide robust and competitive athletics opportunities, Muhlenberg College is adding women's varsity wrestling as its 23rd varsity sport. A search for a head coach will begin immediately. The program will begin full dual meet competition in the fall of 2024.

No. 3 Iowa State (16-3, 7-1 Big 12) dropped its first Big 12 dual in over two calendar years to No. 10 Missouri (8-3, 7-1 Big 12), 23-12, Wednesday evening inside the Hearns Center.

No. 10 Wrestling Upsets No. 3 Iowa State on Senior Night, 23-12 – University of Missouri Athletics

The No. 10-ranked University of Missouri wrestling team picked up a Senior Night victory against No. 3 Iowa State, 23-12, Wednesday, Feb. 15. In front of a Hearnes Center wrestling record 4,819 fans, Mizzou built an insurmountable lead late in the dual to pick up its seventh victory in the last eight meetings against the Cyclones. 

Gardner-Webb Wrestling Rolls To 30-10 Win Over Duke Wednesday Night On The Road – Gardner-Webb University Athletics

Gardner-Webb scored bonus points in four matches to handle Duke on Wednesday night by a score of 30-10.

Jermail Porter went for wrestling as a Freshman in High School at Akron Firestone and made the state finals by his senior year.  He went onto Kent State where he became the school's first NCAA D1 All American in 23 seasons.  After Kent State he played 2 NFL seasons on the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs 53 man roster.  Jermail now owns his own gym and is a personal trainer and entrepreneur in Cleveland, Ohio.
