After four snoozefests, REETIKA (UWW) and Kennedy BLADES (USA) wrestled in an action-packed final, ironically at 76kg, at the U23 World Championships on Thursday with the former beating Blades 9-2 and denied the former U20 world champion another world title.

Lehigh Kicks Off Season With Annual Brown And White Intrasquad – Lehigh University Athletics 

The Lehigh wrestling team kicked off the 2023-24 season with the annual Brown and White Intrasquad Thursday night inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. Fans were treated to 11 bouts with the Mountain Hawks competing publicly for the first time this season. Unofficially, the Brown team came away with a 28-14 victory.

ST. CLOUD STATE PICKED IN NSIC PRESEASON COACHES’ POLL – Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference 

St. Cloud State was selected to win the league in the NSIC Preseason Wrestling Coaches' Poll. The Huskies had 79 points and seven first place votes (coaches cannot vote for their own team) to rank 14 points ahead of Augustana, which was second with 65 points and one first place vote. The defending NSIC Champions. Parkside was third with 62 points and the other two first place votes.

NWCA Releases NCAA Women's Coaches Preseason Rankings – National Wrestling Coaches Association 

With the start of 2023-24 women's wrestling season nearing, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released their NCAA Women's Wrestling Preseason Coaches' Poll. Defending national champion North Central College sits atop top poll with 14 individuals ranked while six schools have individuals ranked for the first time. 

2023-24 NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 – Preseason – NAIA 

Menlo (Calif.) sits atop the NAIA Women's Wrestling Preseason Top 20. Life (Ga.), Grand View (Iowa), William Penn (Iowa), and Providence (Mont.) round out the top 5 to jump-start the 2023-24 women's wrestling season. Reigning national champion Southern Oregon starts the fresh season in sixth.
