Since 1995, I’ve been dealing with wrestling rankings in some way, shape or form. In my early years, it was limited to high school wrestling rankings at the local or state level.
When I joined the NWCA staff in 2005, one of my main responsibilities was running InterMat, and with that, came the Division I Coaches Poll and the individual rankings.
Back in 2005, I was the Vice President of the National Wrestling Media Association. My role at InterMat was a new one as I’d not spent a whole lot of time working college wrestling rankings.
