It's been 20 years since a group of wrestling-minded fans, parents, promoters, and media-types got together and formed the Virginia Challenge, a youth-based wrestling group aimed at building wrestling in Virginia.

One of the notable events that's come out of the formation of the Virginia Challenge is the annual Holiday Duals, held in Virginia Beach. Now in its 18th year, the VAC Holiday Duals is regarded as one of the toughest events among those in age-group wrestling.

On Episode 481 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, Virginia Challenge Executive Director Frank Lipoli joins in to talk about about the foundation of the event, his promotional efforts over the years and what it's been like to see this event grow into the monster that it is today.
