It was an amazing day in Fargo, N.D., as Cadet Freestyle crowned its champions and the Junior Freestyle semifinals provided some high octane moments that made wrestling fans just giddy.
17 Cadets came away with the big stop sign and 30 juniors will wrestle for the right to do the same after winning semifinals on Friday, the seventh day of the USA Wrestling Cadet & Junior Nationals.
I also took a shot to the chest from a folding table as two Cadet finalists came barreling into me. Somehow, my microphone ended up in the center of the mat.
