As a 17-year-old, California high school sophomore Aaron Pico decided to forego high school competition and focus strictly on training in freestyle wrestling. Now a represented athlete and sponsored by Nike, Pico recently won his second U.S. FILA Junior National Championship by dominating the field in Las Vegas at 66kg/145.5 pounds.

Pico visits Short Time to talk about his decision to train full-time, leaving high school wrestling behind, traveling the world with coach Valentin Kalika and what he expects to do on the senior level as he eyes the Olympic Games in 2016 and 2020.

The Short Time Wrestling Podcast is presented by FlipsWrestling.
